中考近义词辨析

last & lastest 1. last 作形容词,意为“最后的”,指连续的顺序中的最后一个,其反义词是first;此外它还可表示“上一次的”。而latest意为“最近的”,是指时间上的最近。如: He was the last person to leave. 他是最后一个离开的人。 Have you read Steinway’s latest novel? It’s much better than his last one. 你读过斯坦威的最新小说吗?比他的上一部小说好多了。 2. last 还可作名词、副词和动词。 (1) 作名词,表示“最后一个”,多和the连用。如: He was the last of the visitors to leave. 他是游客中最后一个离开的人。 (2) 作副词,表示“最后;上一次”。如: I’m going to speak last at the meeting. 我打算在会上最后一个发言。 When did you last go to the cinema? 你上次是什么时候去看的电影?
