         在西方国家,绝大多数人很乐意为他人指路,但不太愿意接受别人的主动帮助。如果我们在大街上见到外国人查地图或者使用《新华字典》查路标上的字时,不要主动去问“Can I help you?”或“Are you lost?”,这样往往会遭到他们的拒绝。因为西方人特别强调独立性,觉得自己的问题应该自己解决。
